Hello folks! We get numerous requests for information on how to get into the field of marketing. We would really appreciate your checking out the careers section of our website, and giving us your thoughts/opinions on the job opportunities listed there. If you don’t at least read what’s already posted on our website, or acknowledge it in your correspondence with us, it will lead us to believe you don’t do your “homework!” We only respond to well-prepared (not just generic) communications regarding job/career possibilities. If you don’t show us you’ve spent some time before getting in touch, then why should we give you some of our time back? It’s just good career hunting technique.

Typically the level of education in marketing goes from certificate to diploma to degree. At START Marketing, we’d be looking for people with a degree level of education. We would even encourage working towards a masters’ degree for higher level consulting. I suggest you check for transferability between the three levels at Mount Royal. It would make sense to get a certificate, if that also gets you halfway to a diploma. Likewise if a diploma gets you halfway to a degree. That way you can get credentials as-you-go instead of waiting a full 4 years to get a degree. Check out our Careers page for info on our Apprenticeship program…and read the column at the bottom of that page on Starting a Career in Marketing.
